Hi there!
Welcome to the Fox & Rhode blog. If you read my welcome blog post or my about me section, you’ll know that my name is Holly, not “fox” or “rhode” obviously. So where did the name come from? I’m so glad you asked! 🙂
The name is inspired by the two best rescue dogs a girl could ask for and the reason I am a dog momma.
Meet Scout, the American Foxfound (pictured left) & Meet Dixie, Rhodesian Ridgeback/lab mix (pictured right)
Scout is the best boy and total couch potato! His favorite activities are singing, sun bathing in fresh cut grass, and chasing Dixie around. He loves hugs, belly rubs, and surprisingly enough – bathtime! A quirk that I’m not sure how I feel about: he loves to smell breath. Scenthound by nature, he wants to know what you had for breakfast, lunch AND dinner.
Dixie is the goodest girl and complete velcro dog! Her favorite activities are chasing lizards and squirrels (really anything that moves), and soaking up all the pets. She’s the first to cuddle on the couch with me and is a total foodie (my personal CQA assistant in the kitchen). A quirk about her is that she will bark at anything, anytime with no filter. Her alarm system works, but we’re currently working on preventing false alarms!
They are both super sweet and adventure loving, and I can’t wait to share more about them… so stay tuned!
